Social media users gushed over Mandoza’s oldest son Tokollo Tshabalala, who recently attended the premiere of his father’s biopic.

Mandoza’s son Tokollo Tshabalala got social media buzzing this week after a video of him attending the premiere of Nkalakatha: the Life of Mandoza emerged.

WHO IS TOKOLLO TSHABALALA?
Tokollo Tshabalala is late kwaito legend Mandoza’s eldest son with his wife Mpho Tshaballa. His father had a brain tumour and died in 2016 on his way to hospital.
Mandoza’s fans revealed on social media that his eldest son was named after his late father’s close friend, Tokollo “Magesh” Tshabalala from TKZee group. The late popular TKZee member passed away on 15 August 2022, six years later.
Mandoza’s eldest son revealed in an interview with TshisaLIVE in 2016 that his father was a proud man and he was happy that he died proud.
“I think I’m just happy that my dad died a proud man because he had everything he wanted in life. Every time he’d tell me that he never got a chance to spend time with his dad‚ so all he ever wanted was to raise his children‚” he said.
Tokollo was spotted at his late father’s biopic with actors Wiseman Mncube, who plays his father, Lorraine Moropa, who plays his mother and many more.
The biopic, Nkalakatha: the Life of Mandoza’ aims to celebrate the kwaito star’s life and the impact he had on the South African entertainment scene.
SA Hip Hop Magazine reveals that the musician’s children have actively participated in the production and have eagerly been waiting for their father’s story to be shared with the world.
The biopic is a co-production between Biopic Films, Pomegranate Media, BET Africa, the DTIC and the kwaito legend’s widow Mpho Tshabalala is the executive producer Mpho together with Vaughn Eaton, who was his manager.
