Burna Boy postpones SA concert: Drama with sound team?

Nigerian singer Burna Boy postponed his Johannesburg concert ‘Last Last’ minute, just four days before the scheduled date.

Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, popularly known as Burna Boy, postponed his upcoming concert in Johannesburg via a statement on Tuesday 19 September.

BURNA BOY POSTPONES JOHANNESBURG CONCERT

Nigerian musician Burna Boy has postponed his Johannesburg concert just four days before the scheduled date on 23 September. Stadium Management South Africa informed suite owners that the event organisers – Ternary Media Group have postponed the show on Tuesday 19 September,

“On the morning of September 19, 2023, Ternary Media Group, the event promoter, notified Stadium Management South Africa and SAIL that the highly anticipated Burna Boy live music concert, which was initially planned to take place at FNB Stadium on September 23, 2023, had been postponed,” read the statement.

The concert has now been moved to 16 December.

DRAMA WITH THE SOUND TEAM?

A source told Sunday World that Burna Boy had allegedly fired his sound team.

“They had a problem with the company that offers them sound which is the biggest sound company in Africa. Burna Boy fired them on Monday night and they had to replace them with another company from North West which does not have the required capacity to do the show,” said the source to the publication.
