Springboks fullback  Willie le Roux announced that he is engaged to longtime-girlfriend Holly Clare Nichol via an Instagram post on 24 June. Here’s what we know about the bride-to-be.

WILLIE LE ROUX PROPOSES TO HOLLY CLARE NICOL

Holly previously revealed that they built a home together in Val de Vie Estate in the Western Cape.

“Honey, we’re home 🏡. Over a year and a half later and we’ve finally moved into our home! Building a house from scratch is no easy feat but if you have the right person by your side and, an experienced team to put your ideas in place then you can really create something quite unique,” she wrote. 

“I’ve been dreaming up this design in my head for years and it is truly everything I imagined and more. Feeling very blessed to have this special place to call home ♥️,” she continued.

WHO IS THE BRIDE-TO-BE HOLLY CLARE NICOL?

Holly is a chef and according to her Instagram biography, she is a Gut Health Specialist.  She is also the owner of The Flavour Basket, where she is a private chef. The chef is British and based in Cape Town.

In a touching Instagram post, Holly revealed that she previously worked as an English teacher in Japan. She expressed how special the place was to her, that she left in February.

“Japan was where I fell in love with cooking, we survived a very dark covid, I had my first job as an English teacher, I ran my first 100k and experienced the beautiful cherry blossoms. The Japanese way of life made me explore alternative medicines and healing methods, sparking a holistic interest in gut health. I honestly can’t see my day to day without a warm matcha or chopsticks,” she wrote.
