Elon Musk’s ‘secret’ 11th child: Five things we know so far

South African-born billionaire Elon Musk secretly welcomed his 11th child, his third with Canadian musician Grimes – here’s what we know about the little one.

ELON MUSK AND GRIMES WELCOME THIRD CHILD

Journalist Walter Isaacson, who is the author behind Elon Musk’s biography, revealed that the billionaire is actually a father of 11 and not 10, like previously believed. The billionaire and Grimes secretly welcomed their third child together, according New York Times review. This is Musk’s 11th child. However, Grimes reportedly claimed that she hasn’t been able to see their eldest son X.

Musk and Grimes are also parents to a son named X AE A-XII, affectionately known as X, who they welcomed in 2020 and a daughter named Y, who they welcomed in December 2021 via a surrogate. This was revealed during her Vanity Fair cover shoot when the reported heard the baby wailing upstairs and Grimes was forced to reveal her daughter.

Musk also has a pair of twins with his Neuralinks executive Shivon Zilis and six children with ex-wife Justine Musk. Their first child, Nevade passed away at 10 weeks old due to Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The pair then welcomed twins and then triplets. One of Musk and Justine’s twins changed her name and gender in 2022, she now goes as Vivian Jenna Wilson. Vivian dropped her father’s surname and is believed to be estranged from him.

FIVE THINGS WE KNOW ABOUT THE SECRET CHILD

• His name is Techno Mechanicus, affectionately known as Tau.
• Tau was born June 2022, according to an advanced copy of the biography obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
• The baby boy was born via a surrogate just about six months after his sister.
• According to the Los Angeles Times, Tau’s nickname was inspired by “the Greek letter representing the irrational number that is equal to two times pi,” said Isaacson. The approximate numerical value, 6.28, is also a nod to Musk’s birthday 28 June.
• Grimes says Tau is a little “cutie” but she wants to keep him and his siblings out of the public eye. “I wish I could show u how cute little Techno is, but my priority rn is keeping my babies out of the public eye,” she tweeted.
