Manchester City striker and Norwegian soccer star Erling Haaland has been on every soccer fan’s lips since joining the English side in June this year, a few months before the start of the 2022/2023 season.
The 22-year-old has been lauded for his goal scoring ability as he is currently the top goal scorer in the English Premier League (EPL) with 18 goals in 13 match appearances.

Although he did not get a chance to further show off his goal scoring prowess at the 2022 FIFA World Cup currently underway in Qatar as Norway did not qualify, you will still see Haaland on the Twitter trends list whenever French striker Kylian Mbappe scores for his country as footy heads just can’t seem to stop comparing the two football stars — much like Argentine Lionel Messi and Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo.
With fans already in the know about Mbappe’s girlfriend, Ines Rau, here are a few things to know about Haaland’s girlfriend…

1. HAALAND IS DATING A FELLOW FOOTBALLER
Just like her boyfriend, Haaland, Isabel Haugseng Johansen is a footballer. She plays for the Norwegian club Bryne Fotballklubb.

2. SHE IS 18 YEARS OLD
The soccer player is reportedly 18 years old, which is four years younger than the Man City star.
3. ISABEL AND ERLING HAALAND ARE CHILDHOOD FRIENDS
Haaland and Johansen grew up together in Bryne and have been mutual friends for a number of years, while the pair also played for the same local football club. The couple has reportedly been dating for several months.
4. SHE IS A SUPPORTIVE GIRLFRIEND
According to Sports Manor, Isabel has been traveling to watch Haaland. She has been his cheerleader in both Germany during the last part of his Borussia Dortmund stint and now in Manchester.
A source told The Sun: “It seems to be pretty serious. Isabel has travelled to Germany and England to see Erling and now she’s been with him in Marbella. Isabel is well known for her beauty. They’ve always known each other.”
Meanwhile, another source added: “Erling has the world at his feet – and women queuing up to be his partner. But he’s a very sensible lad and it makes perfect sense he’s with a girl from his home town who he’s known for years. He needs to be able to trust the people in his life and just concentrate on football.”
