Amapiano DJ Uncle Waffles will be headlining her first international show in New York City at the Great Hall Brooklyn.

International Amapiano DJ Uncle Waffles has announced her first international headline show, which is scheduled to take place on 22 September.

‘I LOVE WAFFLES’

In a video shared to her Instagram, Uncle Waffles noted that her show titled, the “I love Waffles” show will be taking place in New York at the Great Hall Brooklyn.

Sharing her excitement, the DJ thanked everyone who assisted in the production of her video shoot.

“The year of curated shows. My first international HEADLINE SHOW!! And New York, you’re first up! Let’s have fun at The Great Hall Brooklyn”, she shared.

To her Instagram story, the DJ shared that the theme and overall aesthetic of the video was inspired by a Hip Hop music video by City Girls rapper, JT. The video by JT is reminiscent of the 90s car was girl aesthetic.

This may not be the Amapiano DJ’s first time in the Big Apple, she is however cementing herself as a fore runner in the Amapiano Industry, outside of South Africa.

UNCLE WAFFLES THE PRINCESS OF PIANO

Uncle Waffles’ meteoric rise to fame is certainly one to be studied. The artist became a global phenomenon after a clip of her dj’ing to Young Stunna’s Adiwele went viral in 2021.

Since then, the artist has toured various countries across the globe like Ghana, Tanzania, Paris, the United Kingdom, the USA and Dubai just to name a few.

The DJ has also performed at Coachella, Afronation and Boiler Room.

The Princess of Amapiano was also recently nominated for a BET award for Best International act, which was won by Nigerian afrobeats artist, Burna Boy.
