RIP: Tony Forbes gives updates on AKA’s murder investigation
It’s been almost six months since AKA was murdered. His father Tony Forbes has recently given an update regarding the murder investigation.

During an interview he had with Tshisa Live, Tony Forbes, the father of slain rapper AKA – real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes has recently opened up and given his son’s fans an update regarding the status of the late rapper’s murder investigation.
TONY FORBES ON AKA’S MURDER INVESTIGATION
AKA died alongside his friend, celebrity Chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane in Durban, Florida road on 10 February. The long-term friends were shot and killed after embracing each other outside Wish restaurant which has also permanently closed down since the incident.
After a leaked CCTV footage that recorded moments leading up to the rapper’s murder, his fans have been verbal about who they believed was behind the cold-blooded murder. The Forbes family has since released a statement urging AKA’s fans aka The Megacy to stand down and let the law take its course.

“We are at a loss for words to describe our gratitude for the outpouring of love that we received from the Megacy. We’ve seen people deeply hurt by Kiernan’s murder and wanting justice. As a family, we emphasise the grief experienced and we understand your pain,” the statement read.
“At this time, we call on the Megacy to mourn responsibly and ask for patience so that the law enforcers have the space to do their job,” the statement added.

THE RAPPER’S FATHER’S RECENT UPDATE
Next Thursday will mark six months since AKA was murdered. The Sponono hitmaker’s father, Tony Forbes has recently given an update regarding the status of AKA’s murder investigation. He said that the police are still giving them updates, however, at this point, the case hasn’t been cracked yet.
“There are days where one hopes to hear the news that something happened. But we still want to give the process space. We are in touch with investigators and [they] keep us abreast, it does seem slow, but it’s only been six months,” Tony was quoted as saying.
