Tito Mboweni is no stranger to being criticised for his quirky culinary skills. But the former finance minister found himself being dragged on social media over his lack of fashion knowledge as well.

TITO MBOWENI’S FASHION LOOK GOES DOWN IN FLAMES

The ex-Reserve Bank Governer – who was the inspiration behind a Cassper Nyovest song – has Twitter users in stitches with his recent look.

In it, Tito posted pics of his lunch outing at the Magoebaskloof Mountain Lodge in Limpopo. But it was his outfit of the day that had tweeps doing a double take.

Tito wore a grey two-piece suit which he paired with a baseball cap and a pair of old brown shoes.

“Take a bow. The Duke of Magoebaskloof,” he captioned the pics.

But his followers were not as confident as him.

IF IT AINT BROKEN, DON’T THROW IT AWAY?

While Tito Mboweni has admitted to botching his cooking, he claims to have an eye for timeless fashion pieces.

And despite being roasted over his old, dusty shoes, Tito claims they are value for money.

“These shoes are Clarks. They are comfortable”, he tweeted.

The former politician also once bragged over a leather jacket he once bought in the 90s.

He tweeted of the worn-out piece: “I bought this brown leather jacket in 1994. Still in good condition and warm. Just like them Clarks shoes. Don’t change what works for you.”
