Con woman? Dr Nandipha stole friend’s identity in getaway plan
Learn from the best? Thabo Bester’s alleged girlfriend Nandipha Magadumana is accused of stealing her friend Dr Pashy’s identity.

Nandipha Magudumana – or Dr Nandipha – and her partner in crime, Thabo Bester, were planning a great escape abroad after skipping South Africa as Mzansi’s “most wanted” couple.
The dangerous duo even had several new identity documents at their disposal.
But Nandipha’s new persona – as Mmereka Patience Martha Ntshani – has actually been revealed as the identity of another South African doctor, known as Dr Pashy. To add insult to injury, Dr Pashy is a known friend of Magudumana.
Magadumana and Thabo were arrested in Tanzania on Friday, 7 April. They are expected to be deported imminently.

NANDIPHA MAGUDUMANA STEALS FRIEND’S IDENTITY
In another twist to the bizarre saga, Dr Nandipha was discovered with a fake passport with a stolen identity, allegedly of her industry colleague Dr Pashy.
Like Magadumana, Patience or Pashy is a glamorous doctor with a picture-perfect Instagram account with a large following. Pashy – a heart surgeon – is also a philanthropist with many celebrity friends.

Nandipha and Pashy are believed to be friends, after the latter was invited to speak at Magudumana’s medical conference in 2020.
The event – titled Doctors Network Presents – was also attended by former Top Billing presenter Michael Mol and the late Sindi van Zyl.

STEALING DEAD BODIES TOO
Meanwhile, Dr Nandipha is also accused of stealing three unclaimed dead bodies as part of an elaborate insurance scam.
The Optimum Medical Aesthetics Solutions owner claimed that the bodies belonged to her brother, father, and customary husband. She allegedly collected over R1 million in each payout.

According to Sunday Times, the bodies were taken from several Free State mortuaries weeks before Thabo Bester faked his suicide. One of the corpses was used to aid Bester’s prison escape at the Magaung Correctional Centre.
Bester allegedly planted the body in his prison cell after starting a fire. It’s unclear who the body belongs to.
