Thabo Bester, the convicted killer, rapist, and boyfriend of doctor Nandipha Magudumana was supposed to share the dock with the disgraced doctor for the first time in court at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 11 October – this comes after he faked his death and succeeded in his elaborate prison escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in 2022. But how old is the mastermind, Thabo Bester?
FACEBOOK RAPIST: THABO BESTER’S AGE REVEALED
The notorious Thabo Bester is 37 and was born on 13 June 1986, at least that is what he is said to be according to several sources. After he was spotted shopping with Dr Nandipha Magudumana in Johannesburg several months after his brazen escape, the duo fled to Tanzania where they were arrested with a number of passports with different names.
Thabo Bester made his appearance in court on Wednesday, 11 October at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court and was spotted in a T-shirt that had him trending earlier this year when he was accused of allegedly having been photographed with the former South African president, Jacob Zuma in Nkandla.

Following the images circulating on social media platforms, the spokesperson for the Jacob Zuma Foundation said that the photograph had been photoshopped, SABC reported.
“A picture that has been put there is a definite photoshop… This is just a malicious photoshop to try and continue to paint [former] president Zuma as a wayward person meeting wayward people and all of that … it is a malicious photoshop,” Manyi was quoted as saying.

The court proceeded in Thabo Bester’s case on Wednesday. The convict faces several charges including defeating the ends of justice, fraud, corruption, violating a corpse, aiding, arson, and more. He and Dr Nandipha Magudumana were supposed to share the dock for the first time, however, the celebrity doctor did not make it to court after she allegedly fainted due to food poisoning.
Since their arrest in April, the lovebirds have been kept at different facilities. Magudumana is kept behind bars at Bizzah Makhate Correctional Centre in Kroonstad, whereas Bester was relocated to the C-Max section of Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre in Pretoria.
