‘Things are not looking good’: Zoleka Mandela collapsed, hospital

Activist Zoleka Mandela revealed on Monday morning that she was admitted to hospital after collapsing due to another tumour in her brain.

Activist and author Zoleka Mandela who is fighting cancer for the third time revealed on Monday morning, 29 May that she was admitted to hospital after collapsing on Saturday morning, 20 May, 2023.

ZOLEKA MANDELA COLLAPSED

The author Zoleka Mandela took to Instagram on Monday, 29 May to update her fans on her cancer journey; sharing that she was admitted to hospital due to another brain tumour.

“This is a very hard one for me,” shared Mandela who collapsed at home due to another tumour found in her brain. The author admits that things are not “looking good” for her at all. Despite this, she promises to be “honest about her journey” as she “vowed” she would for the “betterment of the cancer community.”

She asked South Africans for their continued prayers, not for her but more for her family and friends: ” My Riches: Zondwa, Lindo, Bambatha and Zwelabo, for my Queenship (Those who have been there every step of the way: Thatohatsi, Jenine, Sanele, Jabulani and Sisipho), as well as My Assistant Mom, Aus’ Lerato who has been good to me and good for me, and most importantly my children – the very best of me, my lifeline and anchor: (Zwelami, Zanyiwe, Zenzile and Zingce).”

“As I rejoin you in prayer, for them all, I will pray for my comfort, peace acceptance. Thanking you all for your prayer, well wishes, hope, support and encouragement.”

RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL

The activist Zoleka Mandela added on her post that she fortunately discharged from the hospital after spending eight nights there and she’s finally sleeping in her own bed.

“I can’t believe I was admitted for eight nights and now, finally sleeping in my own bed,” enthused Mandela.

“So thankful for the dedication, outstanding efforts, and selfless contributions of the entire Oncology Department, together with the Occupational Therapy team, Palliative Care Department, Physio team, and an incredibly dynamic team of Doctors. I’M HOME, I’M HOME, I’M HOME!!! Peace. Passion. Positivity.”
