Faf de Klerk is one of the Springboks’ most loveable and respected players. And according to the man himself, his values of respect, humility, and discipline were taught to him from a young age.
The blonde scrummy is part of the squad taking on Ireland in their third Rugby World Cup match on Saturday, 23 September.

FAF DE KLERK TALKS HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
In a clip recorded by the Springboks, Faf de Klerk talks about his love of rugby, which began at an early age.
He also spoke about his core values, instilled by his strict parents.
He said: “I’d like to think I was brought up in the right way, being taught to respect your elders. I had great parents who taught me discipline, and humility.

“I think those things are lacking in a lot of social structures these days… respect. Something I continually try to improve on and take forward in life. Because after rugby, we won’t sit in this chair anymore, and we’ll have to be different men. Those things will carry you through a lot”.
SA VS IRELAND: WHEN AND WHERE
The Springboks will play their next match in the Rugby World Cup against Ireland on Saturday, 23 September at the Stade de France stadium.
