The Springboks are officially through to the Rugby World Cup semi-finals, and it’s partially thanks to some of the smallest members of the squad: Cheslin Kolbe and Kurt-Lee Arendse.
South Africa defeated host country France 29-28 in a nailbiting clash at the Stade de France.

LOVE FOR CHESLIN KOLBE, KURT-LEE ARENDSE
While there was plenty of love to go around, including to wing Kurt-Lee Arendse, who scored a try in the opening minutes, it was Cheslin Kolbe who was undoubtedly the star of the squad.
The pint-sized Springbok – the shortest in the team – had fans jumping off their couches with his sprints, dashes, and kicks.

And with just one point being the difference between winning and losing, Kolbe was particularly praised for charging down a conversion, a move many had not seen before.
“A moment that will go down in history. Cheslin Kolbe saved this whole game”, tweeted one viewer.
Another added: “National hero status.”

The Springboks will go head to head with England in a semi-final clash on Saturday, 21 October at 21:00.
