‘It’s my birthday’: Leanne Manas’ special request to the Springboks

Legend-in-the-making, anchor Leanne Manas has sent out a special request to the Springboks ahead of their game against France on Sunday.

The seasoned Morning Live anchor Leanne Manas made a special request to the Springboks on Instagram as she announced that her birthday was coming up on 14 October.

Leanne Manas explained that she will be heading to France next week to support the Springboks in the semi-final games. She requested the Boks rugby players to be victorious in the highly anticipated quarter-final game on Sunday, 15 October.

“Come on boys!!!! We are behind you all the way. So it’s my birthday tomorrow – I’m not asking for a lot – just a win against the home nation France! So that when I travel to Paris next week for the semi-finals… I can watch you and scream my lungs out for you on behalf of the 62 Million South Africans back home! Ok thanks, – as you were 💚🏉💛,” she posted.

WHO ARE THE SA RUGBY PLAYERS WHO WILL PLAY AGAINST FRANCE?

On Friday, the Springboks captain Jacques Nienaber announced the 15 rugby players who will play against France at the quarter-final game this Sunday and also revealed the eight selected replacements.

And, the Boks who are selected to play against France on 15 October are Siya Kolisi, Steven Kitshoff, Bongi Mbonambi, Frans Malherbe, Eben, Etzebeth, Franco Mostert, Pieter-Steph Du Toit, Duane Vermeulen, Cobus Reinach, Manie Libbok, Cheslin Kolbe, Damian De Allende, Jesse Kriel, Kurt-Lee Arendse, and Damian Willemse.

Deon Fourie, Willie Le Roux, Handre Pollard, Faf De Klerk, Kwagga Smith, Vincent Koch, Ox Nché, and RG Synman were chosen as replacements.
