A November 2022 video of feisty scrumhalf Faf de Klerk, doing a back-flip somersault and calmly flicking his blonde hair out of his face, served as comfort for South Africans after the Springboks lost to Ireland in their Rugby World Cup clash in Paris, France, on Saturday, 23 September.

BOKS LOSE TO IRELAND

The 2019 Rugby World Cup champions lost 13-8 to the number one ranked nation, partly due to their kicking woes at the Stade de France.

Whilst both teams scored a try a each courtesy of Cheslin Kolbe for Mzansi and Mack Hansen for Ireland, the Boks left a number of points on the pitch, with Manie Libbok and De Klerk both missing two kicks each.

In the video, the scrumhalf is calm as ever in the heat of battle when he is pulled off a ruck by English player Jonny Hill.

The incident, which took place just after half-time and with the Boks leading 17-6, shows an annoyed Hill pulling the Mzansi star from a ruck, and De Klerk doing a back-flip somersault before standing up and then flicking his blonde hair out of his face.
