Springboks captain Siya Kolisi had rugby fans in stitches after watching him in a clip doing the rounds on social media where he could be heard speaking French during a recent press conference in Paris.

Earlier this year, Siya Kolisi announced that he would be relocating to Paris, France right after the 2023 Rugby World Cup. He and his family have already moved to Paris where the 2023 Rugby World Cup tournament is taking place.

The Springboks are currently rated as the best rugby team in the world – this comes after they won the quarter-final game against France on Sunday, 15 October. Kolisi and the rest of the Springboks team have been having a ball in Paris as they continue to get closer and closer to once again winning the Rugby World Cup.

And, it appears Kolisi has already picked up a few French words since he moved to France. In a clip, the Springboks captain can be heard greeting the press in French during a press conference in Paris. After watching the South African rugby captain speaking in French, netizens were convinced that his teammates had dared him to go out in front of the cameras and do it as an “inside joke”.
