‘Thank you for amazing support’: Springboks appreciate fans

The Springboks entered into the semi-finals after beating France 29:28 on Sunday. The South African team has since thanked its supporters.

The Springboks appreciated the support received from their rugby fans following their tournament against France in Paris on Sunday, 15 October.

THE SPRINGBOKS THANK FANS FOR SUPPORT

The Springboks played against France in the quarter-finals on Sunday. The South African rugby national team won 29:28 in the high-spirited game. “That was a brutal test match. In the first couple of minutes, they [France] scored, then we scored and it went on like that – a one-point game! Obviously, it is a relief inside me, the French must be heartbroken so thoughts to them, BBC quoted Eben Etzebeth as saying.

The Springboks have since appreciated their rugby fans for their incredible support as seen in an Instagram post. “Thank you for amazing support in Paris, from South Africa and all over the world 🙏,” the team said.

The African National Congress has also urged South Africans to continue rallying behind the Springboks in their Rugby World Cup journey.

“The African National Congress (ANC) reiterates its support for the national rugby team, the Springboks. As was the case in 1995, this tournament stands as a symbolic moment in South African history. The Bokke remains a symbol of unity, diversity, and excellence in South Africa,” the ANC said.

The South African national rugby team will go head-to-head against England in the first semi-final game on Saturday.
