‘There are two types of leaders’: Springboks’ fans slam Ramaphosa, compare him to Rassie
‘Cyril Ramaphosa taking credit for doing nothing,’ said Springboks fans who also revealed that Rassie Erasmus would make a better president.

South Africans slammed President Cyril Ramaphosa on social media this week for taking center stage when the Springboks celebrated their Rugby World Cup victory and compared him to Rassie Erasmus, who stood behind the team.

‘WHY WAS CYRIL RAMAPHOSA THERE?’
President Cyril Ramaphosa has been criticised by South Africans for seizing the spotlight during the Rugby World Cup 2023 and snatching the trophy from Springboks Captain Siya Kolisi.
The viral photo shared by @LuvRugby on Instagram shows Ramaphosa taking center stage and lifting the trophy while coach Rassie Erasmus, who’s been there with the team stood at the back.
@LuvRugby captioned the photo: “There are two types of leaders in this world.”
@socialHATchat added: “Two types of leaders. Those that do bare minimum but want to take the recognition & victory as their own. Then there are those who give their everything to their team, but step back for the victory. Thank God Ramaphosa wasn’t their coach. Maybe Rassie should be President?”
Springboks fan @jason.janks jokingly said: “Cyril Ramaphosa was actually on the bench as scrumhalf replacement. Another Rassie Erasmus masterpiece”.
