Media personality Somizi Mhlongo took to Instagram on 7 March and shared his kasi-inspired homemade dinner dish with his followers and had social media users informing him that he had stayed in the north for way too long because his version of a kota was quite civilised to say the least.
Somizi is known for loving to express himself in the kitchen. He is usually praised for coming up with interesting, simple, yet delicious-looking dishes.
According to Times Live, his cookbook Dinner at Somizi’s: I Am Not a Chef made it to the ‘number one best-selling cookbook authors’ list.
Yesterday, the successful media personality shared a video of his kota on his timelines and captioned,
“Felt like a KOTA tonight.”

Somizi’s version of a kota was a slice of white toast, topped with a smooth spread of mashed potatoes, two slices of ham and two other slices of sliced cheese, finished with a topping of atchaar.
After seeing the media personality’s kota, his Instagram followers took light jabs at it in the comment section.
