‘Last minute.com’: Rachel Kolisi jets off to New York

Rachel Kolisi, the wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, shared her stressful journey of travelling from Durban to Cape Town to catch a flight to New York – via her Instagram Story on Saturday 10 June.

RACHEL KOLISI ON BEING ‘LAST MINUTE.COM’ 

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi’s wife Rachel revealed how relaxed she was three hours before she needed to catch a flight from Cape Town to New York – while still in Durban. Take a look…

“Leave for New York in three hours. Still in bed. Haven’t packed (going to attempt only taking a carry on no check in) because connection coming home is tight. Haven’t sorted kids schedules. Basically everything that needs doing is not done,” she wrote.

She then revealed that she planned on only leaving 20 minutes before boarding but forgot she had a bag to check in.

“Not me relaxing at home planning to leave 20 minutes before boarding (I was checked in) did I realise I have a bag to check in too (had too much stuff). I just made it, but seriously I need to stop this last minute travel behaviour,” she continued.

THE MOM OF TWO: ‘MADE IT!!’

The mom of two revealed that she made it for her flight with a little bump on the way.

“Made it!! But. They didn’t update the board to ‘boarding’ so I didn’t go to the gate, until one of the very kind staff came to tell me they were closing the flight so I better run,” she wrote.

Rachel has since touched down in New York and revealed that she did not get any sleep on the flight. It is unclear whether the mom of two is travelling for business or pleasure.

Siya and Rachel tied the knot in 2016 and have two children together – Nicholas and Keziah.
