Sam Asghari confirms marriage to Britney Spears is over

Model and actress Sam Asghari has spoken out for the first time since filing for divorce from wife Britney Spears.

On Thursday 17 August, in a post shared to his Instagram Story the model and fitness trainer addressed allegations of their divorce.

 “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other, and I wish her the best always”, Sam shared to Instagram.

He continued: “S**t happens”.

Sam also pleaded with the public and media to be kind and thoughtful about their situation at hand.

“Asking for privacy seems ridiculous [sic] so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful”, the 29-year-old requested.

IS SAM ASGHARI THREATENING TO EXPLOIT HIS EX-WIFE?

According to People magazine a representative from Sam’s team, Brandon Cohen from BAC Talent addressed rumours about the split in a statement.

“There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos,” he said. “However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.”

Britney Spears is yet to make a statement regarding her divorce from Sam Asghari.

Sam has allegedly accused the musician of cheating on with a staff member. According to People magazine, Britney seems to be “in great spirits despite everything going on”.
