Springboks boss Rassie Erasmus has returned with another shady tweet, and South Africans are loving it! This time, the SA Rugby Director took a swipe at the team’s past and future Rugby World Cup opponents: France and England, respectively.

The Boks defeated the host country in a nail-biting quarter-final last weekend. On Saturday, 21 October, they will take on England in a semi-final, whom they beat at the 2019 World Cup finale.

RASSIE ERASMUS THROWS SHADE AT ENGLAND AND FRANCE

Responding to a fan video, Rassie Erasmus thanked SA supporters for their encouragement and support in a tweet on Wednesday.

But in typical Rassie-style, he used his post to silence his critics.

Of the semi-final game on Saturday, he tweeted: “There will be more England fans in the stands, but it doesn’t bother us. We always feel you, South Africa.

Firing shots at France, he continued: “SA came so close in hosting the 2023 RWC! But that score was settled last week”.

Rassie ended the tweet with his signature greeting – “Lekka.”

‘PHD IN TROLLING’

On Twitter, Springboks supporters commended Rassie Erasmus for spicy social media comments.

‘BEEF WITH US’

Meanwhile, Rassie Erasmus has hinted that SA’s upcoming match against England would be an interesting one.

He said in a media briefing: “They have so many experienced players that played against us last time.

“I think because they’ve played us in the World Cup final, they will have some beef with us. I think they will be very physical. They will definitely step it up at all set phases.”
