French footballer Kylian Mbappe and several of his national team players were seen cheering on their country in the Rugby World Cup opening match against New Zealand’s All Blacks on Friday, 8 September.

In a video that went viral on social media, the 24-year-old was captured celebrating his country’s victory in the Stade de France stadium.

France beat the All Blacks 27-13 in an explosive match that kicked off the seven-week tournament.

In the clip, Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembélé, and Antoine Griezmann were seen focused on the pitch where France gave the All Blacks a beating.

The trio – who seemed somewhat confused at the rugby match – cheered alongside the crowd, celebrating their country’s victory.

Kylian and several of his soccer friends later posed for pics with members of the French rugby squad.

On Twitter – or X.com – many users remarked how Mbappe appeared out of his depth during the match.

“Bro had absolutely no idea of what’s going on,” posted one tweep. “Rugby is too complicated for him,” posted another.

A third tweeted: “He looks terrified.”
