Rugby World Cup 2023: Cassper trolled for messing up Springboks nickname [watch]

Rapper Cassper made a funny blunder while celebrating the Springboks following their win against England in the Rugby World Cup semi-final.

Who won against England in the Rugby World Cup 2023 semi-final in France; Amabhokobhoko OR Amabhakabhaka?

That is the question, and rapper Cassper Nyovest is probably not the right person to answer it after a funny blunder (out of excitement) on Saturday, 21 October, when the Springboks edged England 16-15, thanks to a late converted try by Boks lock RG Snyman and a 77th minute penalty by Handre Pollard.

CASSPER MISPRONOUNCES SPRINGBOKS NICKNAME

Throughout the game, South Africans were on the edge of their seats as social media users on X hilariously summoned the “country’s ancestors” including the first democratically elected president, Nelson Mandela; slain rapper AKA; and kwaito stars Mandoza and Mampintsha; – to name a few celebrities who are have passed.

This includes award-winning musician and businessman Cassper who shared a video of his celebration along with his friends.

However, while speaking to his fans in the clip, the Baby Girl hitmaker referees to the Springboks as “Amabhakabhaka” and not their rightful nickname “Amabhokobhoko” – a Nguni name derived from the 2019 Rugby World Cup champions’ English nickname.

On the other hand, Amabhakabhaka one if the many nicknames for DStv Premiership side and current MTN8 champions Orlando Pirates.

X USERS CORRECT CASSPER

Although it was presumably just a slip of the tongue for Cassper, as the names are so similar, X users did not pass off the opportunity to troll the hip hop artist.
