Despite the All Blacks taking a beating against France in the Rugby World Cup opening match on Friday, 8 September, actor Jason Momoa is one proud supporter.

The Hawaiian-born star is a big fan of the New Zealand national team and the Maori culture native to the country.

France beat the All Blacks 27-13 in an explosive match that kicked off the seven-week tournament.

JASON MOMOA SHOWS LOVE TO ALL BLACKS

In a clip posted on his Instagram, Jason Momoa posted scenes from the Rugby World Cup opening match between host nation France and the All Blacks.

The Aquaman actor and a group of friends were pictured in the crowd at the Stade De France.

He captioned the clip: “Here we go. Best of the best. All my aloha. So thankful to see this for the first time. World Cup. #ibleedblack #allblacks”

According to Stuff, Jason is a big supporter of the New Zealand team and is friends with many of the rugby players. He’s visited the country numerous times and has even assisted in educating his followers about cultural Maori practises.

When asked what he loved most about New Zealanders, Jason told the publication: “We look the same, like brothers and sisters, right? I look around at people on the street and think ‘oh that’s my uncle, that’s my auntie’ … so I have a deep connection because of my Polynesian roots.”

Jason Mamoa wasn’t the only celeb who attended the Rugby World Cup opening match between France and the All Blacks.

French footballer Kylian Mbappe, retired player David Beckham and son Cruz, and Formula One driver George Russel were also spotted in the crowds.
