RIP: Amapiano producer DJ Mbali Umshove dies age 27
Amapiano artist, DJ Mbali Umshove – known for her hit songs ‘Umshove’ and ‘Konka’ – sadly passed away in hospital on Monday.

Amapiano musician DJ Mbali Umshove – real name Amahle Nduli – has died.
DJ MBALI UMSHOVE HAS DIED
The producer, who is famous for her 2018 hit song Umshove featuring Kabza De Small and Leehleza, passed away on Monday, 24 July, according to a statement by the family.

“We would like to formally announce Amahle Nduli (DJ MBALI UMSHOVE)’s passing. The family appreciates your prayers and asks for privacy as we grieve the loss of our cherished daughter. Details about her memorial service and funeral will be announced soon,” the statement read.
DJ Mbali Umshove’s memorial service took place on Wednesday, 26 July, in Maboneng, Johannesburg.

ALLEGED CAUSE OF DEATH
A family spokesperson told Zimoja that DJ Mbali Umshove died due to a bad allergic reaction. The source said that all was well when Konka hitmaker started choking and her throat got swollen.
“Some white and brownish fluid started coming out of her mouth and she was struggling to breathe, she was gasping for air,” the spokesperson said.

The source said that the producer was rushed to the hospital where she passed while doctors were still running some tests.
“It was sad we did not expect that outcome, she was young and her career was promising she had big plans for herself and her family,” said the source.
