‘R2.5m is fine’: Prince Kaybee names his price to fight Cassper

On Tuesday, 27 June, South African disc jockey and record producer Prince Kaybee—real name Kabelo Motsamai was interviewed on The POPcast and opened up about what it would take for him to get in the ring with rapper Refiloe Maele Phoolo best known as Cassper Nyovest.
‘LET’S DO IT THE PROPER WAY’: PRINCE KAYBEE ON BOXING CASSPER NYOVEST
Prince Kaybee and Cassper Nyovest have not seemed to have gotten along for years now. After hearing what the disc jockey had to say about the rapper on The POPcast recently, it’s safe to say that the two are still not friends. Prince Kaybee said he wouldn’t mind taking on the Doc’Shebeleza hitmaker in the ring but it would take at least R2.5 for him to do it.
“If there was a good number, I would get in the ring. It’s not a good number. Cassper’s team sent me like an email to my team saying something like I think saying R500 000. Like I’m not going to get in the ring for R500 000. So for me, that’s not really a thing,” Prince Kaybee said.
“I don’t take the beef between me and Cassper personal. It’s all jokes. Remember, I once met him at an airport, and I laughed the whole time, and yena [he] was serious. So I don’t really take it that serious. Even when we go to the ring, I’m not going to take it that seriously. But if we are going to do it, let’s do it the proper way. Give me what I want. For me to get out [of] my house, R2.5 million is fine,” the Charlotte hitmaker added.

In 2021, the highly anticipated fight between the musicians got called off, IOL reported. According to the publication, Cassper Nyovest had said he was not willing to meet the Gugulethu hitmaker’s “delusional” conditions. The rapper said he realised that some people were chasing “clout” and want to have a bit of cash to fall on to just in case they lose. (https://www.harveymaria.com) Responding to Cassper Nyovest, the Fetch Your Life hitmaker took to Twitter and said,
“But Shotpan you offered a 350k contract, o buwas masepa, I make that anyway in a dry month. So if it’s for free [then] let’s meet NOW where you are but if you going to make a profit out of it. I want 2.5 million. I’m not scared of your fake wealth papa, put your money where your mouth is.”
