PRINCE HARRY, MEGHAN PART WAYS WITH SPOTIFY

The Wall Street Journal reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ended their podcasting deal with Spotify. There will not be a second season of the pair’s podcast Archetypes despite launching at the top of charts, a source confirmed to The New York Post. Meghan hosted Archetypes with a series of different guests including Mariah Carey, Mindy Kaling and Serena Williams.

The podcast was created to “investigate, dissect and subvert the labels that try to hold women back.”

A source told the publication that the couple did not produce enough content for a multi-million dollar payout. It seems the decision was mutual as Spotify and Archewell Audio said they have “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together,” in a joint statement.

However, the Duke and Duchess seemingly have a better offer with another platform.

“Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform,” said a source to the Wall Street Journal.
