President Cyril Ramaphosa rubbed his “fellow people” the wrong way after it was announced that he’d be heading to watch the Boks in Paris.

Presidential Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya confirmed Cyril Ramaphosa will be heading to Paris, France, to watch the Springboks take on the All Blacks in the final 2023 Rugby World Cup match, which will take place on Saturday, 28 October, SABC reported.

SA ON CYRIL RAMAPHOSA HEADING TO SEE THE SPRINGBOKS IN PARIS

As everyone gears up for the final Rugby World Cup tournament in Paris this weekend, social media has been buzzing since it was announced that President Cyril Ramaphosa would be travelling to watch the final game live. Many South Africans on social media were appalled by the announcement as they shared their concerns, questioning the whereabouts of Ramaphosa’s travelling budget would be coming from.

Earlier this week it was announced that South Africans could expect to see a public holiday on 30 October if the Springboks continue to fly the South African flag high and win the game against the New Zealand boys in the highly-anticipated final.

“The president has received a lot of messages in this regard via us and directly. South Africans from all walks of life have reached out to him. He said to me I must relay the fact that he’s considering the request,” EWN quoted the Presidential Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya as saying.
