‘Up the Boks’: Orlando Pirates send special message to Springboks

Bokke-neers? Orlando Pirates have pledged their support to the Springboks who will face France in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final.

Orlando Pirates have sent the Springboks a special message of support ahead of their Rugby World Cup quarter-final clash against France on Sunday.

The PSL team recently celebrated their second consecutive MTN8 title win.

ORLANDO PIRATES SENDS LOVE TO SPRINGBOKS

In a tweet, the official account of Orlando Pirates sent their best wishes to the Springboks team.

It read: “All the best to the Springboks ahead of this weekend’s Rugby World Cup quarter-final” 

Fans of the Buccanneers were happy at the show of support.

“Champions recognise Champions”, commented one follower. Another posted: “Up the Boks”.

A third added: “Title defenders like us”.

Last weekend, Orlando Pirates clinched a victory against Mamelodi Sundowns for their second consecutive MTN8 win.

Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana has become the butt of social media jokes – again – after South Africans praised the national rugby and cricket teams for their performances in their respective World Cups.
