Controversial influencer and club host Inno Morolong is excited to put the assault charges behind her.

On Wednesday, 26 July, fellow club host Olwethu Magudumana dropped the assault charges she had levelled against the Diamonds and Dolls star, Sunday World reports.

As previously reported by The South African in May, Olwethu – who is the niece of Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s ex-husband Dr Mkhuseli Magudumana – shared graphic images and videos of her head, face and body covered in blood. She alleged that she was assaulted by Inno at the Maracana Club in Sandton.

“I did not fight with her, she attacked me. I was at my table with my friends and I saw Innocentia shouting at the people she was with, the fight was about a bill she did not want to pay. I went closer because I wanted to see and properly hear what was happening and she jumped at me with a bottle, accusing me [of] filming her,” said Magudumana.

Days later, police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed that an assault with grievous to bodily harm case (GBH) had been opened.

Olwethu also confirmed that she had decided to forgive Inno because she asked for forgiveness and showed remorse.

According to Inno, the charges had a terrible impact on her career because she could not get gigs.

“I am starting afresh, taking baby steps and yes; I am working on myself. I am making peace with the people that I had verbal fights with, mostly on social media, because I am determined to become a new person,” Inno said.

Last year, Inno was accused of brutally assaulting a friend in a bloody fight in the club.

According to murder-accused celebrity blogger Musa Khawula, Inno and her friends were leaving a nightclub and were proceeding to her hotel room when one of her friends reportedly refused to tag along and was beaten to a pulp by the reality TV star as a result.
