‘Heartbreaking’: Nadia shot ‘YFA’ before AKA’s tragic murder

#YoungFamousAfrican viewers heartbroken as love-struck Nadia Nakai gushes over her boyfriend AKA who was gunned down three months ago.

Rapper Nadia Nakai was deeply in love with her late boyfriend AKA and she could not help but show it as she gushed over him on Netflix’s reality show, Young Famous and African (YFA).

Viewers of the show have reacted and expressed how bittersweet it was to watch the Naaa Meeaan hitmaker express her love and how much the slain rapper loved her in the second season of the show which launch on the streaming giant platform on Friday, 19 May.

YFA was shot before AKA’s untimely passing in February. The Lemons (Lemonade) hitmaker – whose real name is Kiernan Jarryd Forbes – was gunned down in Durban when two unknown gunmen opened fire on him and his team outside Wish on Florida road. No arrests have been made so far.

Introducing her relationship on the show, Nadia giggled lovingly as she said: “I got a new man and I am so in love, and so happy.”

Rumours of the couple’s romance started swirling in November 2021.

She continued during her diary session: “I am with Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, also known as AKA. He’s such a manly man and he loves me so nicely. I’m so in love.”

A blushing Nadia described AKA as a “manly man” who loves her “so nicely.”

“I’m like the happiest person,” she said to co-star and sportscaster Andile Ncube.

Viewers on Twitter expressed that their hearts broke when they watched Nadia’s scene knowing that AKA is no more.

“Man! Seeing how Nadia is talking about AKA in #YoungFamousAfrican is really Heartbreaking,” said @marzu_awwal.
