‘Try it in SA’: Mzansi reacts to video of Akon crowd surfing [watch]
In a video shared on Twitter on 26 June, Akon was seen crowd surfing in a giant plastic ball which had Tweeps daring him to ‘Try it in SA’.

On Monday, 26 June, a video of Senegalese singer Akon—real name Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam was posted on Twitter and showed him crowd surfing in a giant plastic water roll ball which left South Africans on Twitter rolling on the floor laughing and busting jokes.

Musicians have been seen doing all kinds of crazy things to entertain their crowds during their live performances. From performing on a floating stage like Kanye West did during his Saint Pablo tour, Rolling Stones reported, to performing on a rotating stage like Chris Brown did with his Take You Down performance, and more. It’s no wonder Akon thought crowd surfing in a giant plastic water ball would be a good idea.
In the video, the Lonely hitmaker was seen getting inside the giant plastic water ball before being bounced around by the crowd for some time and then bounced back on stage again. During the time he was cocooned in the ball, Akon can be seen trying his best to give his best performance and even took a few tumbles inside the giant bubble.

After some South African Twitter users came across the video of Akon crowd surfing in the huge plastic ball, they dared him to come to Mzansi and try the same stunt while performing this side. Others also commented that if Akon would perform in that plastic ball in South Africa then someone in the crowd would surely pop it one way or another before he got too far in it.
