Mbali Ngiba’s fiance, business, kid: Who is the ‘RHOD’ star?

Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star Mbali Ngiba set tongues wagging after the nineth episode of the Showmax reality series which saw her losing it after Slee told her that Nonku claimed she gives her “Mabusi vibes”.

Mabusi Seme is a former RHOD season one and two friend of the show who was continuously mistreated by Nonku whom she thought was her friend when she joined.

Nonku’s comment rubbed Mbali up the wrong way as she had an outburst on the show, spilling Nonku’s winning and saying it takes horrible. She also called Nonku’s man, Dumisani “Rough Diamond” Ndlazi a jailbird and labelled Nonku an alcoholic.

Here are five things to know about Mbali Ngiba…

1. SHE IS ENGAGED

The actress and singer is very private about her personal life, but according to Briefly she was previously linked to singer and actor Sandile “Masandi” Mfusi who plays Kwanda in Uzalo.

Currently, she is engaged to Mncedi Madolo who is an art practitioner. Madolo has appeared on two episodes of RHOD. In one of them, the couple discussed trying for a baby.

2. MBALI NGIBA LOST HER ONLY CHILD

Mbali Ngiba does not have any children at the moment. She shared on RHOD that her child, a boy, unfortunately passed away at the age of 16. She also revealed that she has had a miscarriage.

3. SHE IS A BUSINESSWOMAN

Mbali Ngiba is co-founder of African Centric Designs which sells flowers, woven baskets, African ornaments, handmade art, beaded African accessories and other items.

“I joined Season 3 as it felt like a great opportunity for me to be a part of such a successful franchise amongst such amazing women. When watching Season 1 and 2, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that I’d also add great value as a cast member. So when they approached me I agreed. I also joined because I’d like to see some personal growth within myself as an individual and as a business,” Mbali said about joining RHOD.

4. MBALI NGIBA IS AN ACTRESS

She is an actress who is best-known for her role as Welile in Mzansi Magic defunct telenovela Greed & Desire. She’s also had roles in Isithembiso as Buhle, The River as a lab technician and Durban Gen as Mrs Mthembu.

5. SHE IS ALSO A SINGER

In 2018, she released her single titled Ngizwide and in June 2020 it was reported that the television personality was preparing to release a Mbaqanga album.
