Mandla Mthembu is South African actress Khanyi Mbau’s ex-husband and the father of her child but where is he now?
KHANYI MBAU’S RELATIONSHIP WITH MANDLA MTHEMBU
Khanyi Mbau’s “baby daddy” is Mandla Mthembu, a well-known businessman who disappeared from the spotlight. The actress met Mandla when she was only 19 years old at Divine Lounge and they met again six months later.
The pair later began dating but it was their age difference that had tongues wagging. Mandla was 30 years older than Khanyi. She once said that they never had much to talk about while dating, but having a baby together.
“All I remember was us deciding on colour, where to eat, cars, arguing not being in the same car because we did not like the same music. There was no heart-to-heart conversation, apart from discussing having a baby,” said Khanyi in an interview with Anele Mdoda.
“Mandla was 30 years older than me, what did he possibly think he would get out of me? I enjoyed being around him, but I realised I was worshipping him, not loving him,” she added.
The Happiness Ever After actress and Mandla have a daughter together — 15-year-old Khanukani. Mandla is not known to have a relationship with Khanukani. The pair reportedly got married after Khanyi fell pregnant but there were also abuse allegations surrounding their marriage.
Mandla and Khanyi were married from 2006 but divorced in 2009.

WHERE IS THE BUSINESSMAN NOW?
According to Zalebs, as of 2022 not much is known about Mandla. He appears to have fallen off the map as he has no social media presence either. The businessman is said to have gone broke and slipped into a pattern of heavy drinking previously. There is not much knowledge about whether he has overcome this or not.
Mandla allegedly cheated on Khanyi with entertainer Zodwa Wabantu. Khanyi is in a relationship with Zimbabwean businessman Kudzai Mushonga.
