CHRIS VAN HEERDEN SPEAKS OUT ON MALEMA, FARM MURDERS

IBO welterweight champion Chris van Heerden – who is based in the US – reacted to Malema’s scandal in a video posted on his Twitter account.

He said: “People are saying these are our songs we’ve been singing for many years. I  get it. But you’re singing these songs on the national podium out loud.

“It’s brainwashing.”

Chris made mention of his own father, Daniel Christoffel, who was shot and killed near his farm in Meyerton in 2018.

He continued: “It’s been almost five years since I lost my father by a man shooting and killing my dad in his back, [who supports] the EFF.”

“Now I forgave this man that killed my father. I forgave him because I call it brainwashing. He is looking at his leader singing these songs, and nothing is happening to him.

“So it’s easy to think, you know what? In a heated moment, it’s OK. I can kill a Boer. I can kill a farmer because my leader tells me to do so. It is politically motivated. The political leader is pushing this agenda.

Chris claimed that he was “fearful” for his family, who still live in South Africa.

“They are scared. They fear for their lives.

“People say, why don’t you fight back? We are outnumbered….People are telling us it is just a song. Don’t take it too seriously. How can I not?”
