Singer and dancer Makhadzi—real name Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona recently had an outstanding performance during the Netball World Cup 2023 in front of several spectators including the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the International Convention Centre.  

‘I AM HAPPY’: MAKHADZI MEETS PRESIDENT CYRIL RAMAPHOSA

According to Netball World, the Netball World Cup 2023 in Cape Town was held from 28 July to 6 July. Limpopo-born singer, Makhadzi had the time of her life performing in front of Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture Zizi Kodwa and President Cyril Ramaphosa, among others who attended the games.

Taking to Instagram, the 27-year-old Ma Gear hitmaker expressed her gratitude to her fans that have shown her love and support over the years. She shared that she was afforded the opportunity to engage with the president and was praised for her sterling performance.

“Last night I cried so much guys. I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has shown me support all these years. Firstly, God is the greatest, for all his grace. Then my day 1 fans who have been with me through the hard and the nice times… thank you so much guys, I am here because of what you do for me,” she said.

“I also just want to thank myself for being me. For being strong and never giving up. Today I can shake hands with the President and he tells me straight in the face that I am a great performer…  I am happy,” she added.

MORE ABOUT THE NETBALL WORLD CUP

Black-ish star Anthony Anderson was also spotted at the Netball World Cup in Western Cape recently. He watched the Spar Proteas team from the sidelines. In a video doing the rounds on social media, the American comedian can be heard cheering.

“Spar Proteas, Yeah, let’s go tonight, let’s go!” Anderson said.

For their last tournament, the Spar Proteas were up against Uganda and lost with a score totalling 47-49, EWN reported.
