‘Days like today’: Lynn Forbes reflects on 3 months without AKA

Lynn Forbes, the mom of slain rapper AKA, took to Instagram on Wednesday 10 May to reflect on how she feels after losing her son three months ago.

Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February along with his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

LYNN FORBES REFLECTS ON LOSING HER SON

The Forbes family had a weekend full of celebrations after AKA scooped four awards at the Metro FM Music Awards held on 6 May in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. His parents Lynn and Tony Forbes along with his daughter Kairo Forbes accepted his awards on his behalf and later took it to his grave.

However, just days later — Wednesday 10 February marked three months since the rapper was shot dead in Durban. Lynn Forbes took to Instagram in the late hours of the day to reflect on how she is feeling three months after losing her son. She explained that it was a bad day for her where she could simply just not participate in life. Take a look…

“Then, there are days like today. I just can’t participate in life 💔,” she wrote.

AKA: ‘NEVER TOO RICH OR FAMOUS FOR OROS’

This comes after Lynn shared a video of her son AKA making her a meal — via an Instagram post on Tuesday 25 April. She reminisced of fond memories with her late son.

Fans were quick to note AKA’s love for Oros as he made himself a glass in the video. Take a look…
