‘Not a nice place to be’: Leon Schuster in hospital for back surgery

Hilarious seasoned South African filmmaker Leon Schuster revealed that he is stuck in hospital following having had back surgery recently.

On Saturday, 26 August, following the South Africa against New Zealand rugby match, hilarious South African filmmaker Leon Schuster took to his social media page to express his feelings regarding the Springboks’ victory and also shared that he, unfortunately, had to watch the game from a hospital bed.

The Springboks rugby team played against the All Blacks at Twickenham on Friday, with Siya Kolisi and Kurt-Lee Arendse scoring the first-half tries, followed by Malcolm Marx, Bongi Mbonambu, and Kwagga Smith’s scores, the Independent reported.

The Springboks incredible win had Leon Schuster’s inactive social media page buzzing again. Taking to his Facebook page, the Afrikaans filmmaker could not believe the scoreboard after watching the rugby game.

“35/7. What a night!!!!! When I woke up this morning I had to pinch myself to realise [that] this is not a dream; this is reality!!” he wrote.

“In my spirit, I see the large bright green scoreboard reflecting the slaughter of the men in black: All Black 7,” he joked. “South Africa 35!! Never thought something like this would happen in my lifetime!!” Schuster added.

‘THE PAIN’: THE FILMMAKER OPENS UP ABOUT HIS SURGERY

Leon Schuster became a national sensation with his funny films such as Mr. Bones, Mad Buddies, and more. He had several fans sending him well wishes after he shared that he was stuck in hospital following recently having had back surgery.

“Thank you very much to all my Facebook friends for the support with my back surgery. It’s not a nice place to be, but your beautiful words touch me deeply and I am sincerely grateful! Also grateful that the Lord held my hand tightly through the pain process!” he said.

Schuster has also decided to branch into the music industry recently. On Friday, 25 August, he released a song titled Bokmasjien.
