Inconsistencies in Masechaba’s allegations against Jub Jub?

Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye’s legal team is reportedly set to poke holes in media personality Masechaba Khumalo’s rape allegations.

Sunday World reports that the Uyajola 9/9 host’s lawyers will point out inconsistencies in Masechaba’s allegations wherein she says she was a virgin when the sexual assault incident allegedly took place.

POSSIBLE INCONSISTENCIES IN MASECHABA’S ALLEGATIONS

In her police statement, the former One Day Leader host says she dated the rapper when she was 16 years old. She said that the relationship lasted for a few months in 1999 or 2000, while she was in grade 11 or 12. She alleges she was a virgin at the time and she communicated this with the rapper.

According to a police officer who asked to remain anonymous, the musician’s team is set to argue that Masechaba revealed on Podcast and Chill with MacG in 2019 that her first sexual encounter was with her step-dad in American.

“I was nine [years old] and he molested me… For two, three days he held me hostage and he sexually abused me,” Masechaba told MacG.

The police officer revealed that the musician’s are expected are expected to use that to possibly poke holes in Masechaba’s allegations.

JUB JUB’S ARGUMENT AGAINST AMANDA DU-PONT

Masechaba is not the only woman who has accused Jub Jub of sexual assault. His ex-girlfriend Amanda du-Pont also pressed charges last year.

The defense will reportedly also argue that the former Skeem Saam actress distanced the Ndikhokhele hitmaker from any rape allegations, according to a 2014 Move! magazine cover.

The hip hop artist faces 13 counts ranging from multiple counts of rape, indecent assault, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and several counts of kidnapping.

He is set to make his next court appearance on 8 November.
