Grimes says relationship with Elon Musk was ‘best internship ever’

Canadian musician Grimes said that her relationship with South African-born billionaire Elon Musk was the “best internship ever” in an interview with Wired.

Claire Elise Boucher, popularly known as Grimes said that her relationship with the father of her two children was the “best internship ever” in an interview with Wired. She expressed that she learned from the billionaire.

“I learned from him, like, the best internship ever. People don’t like talking about Elon, but it was incredible to be right there watching all that SpaceX stuff happen. That’s a master class in leadership and engineering and makes you understand how rare it is to have a leader of that quality,” she said to the publication.

GRIMES ON CO-PARENTING WITH ELON MUSK

The musician has two children — three-year-old X Æ A-12, affectionately known as X and Y with Elon Musk. She explained that both her kids are “little engineers”. Grimes told Wired that X loves rockets.

“X knows a lot about rockets. It’s crazy. He knows more about rockets than me,” she said.

Grimes went on to say that X had a “three-day meltdown” when SpaceX’s Starship rocket exploded minutes after takeoff back in April. The Candian-born musician said that her daughter Y is also a little engineer.

“She likes industrial shipping. She’s very strange,” she continued.

Grimes and Musk are in the process of figuring out what their kids educational journeys will look like.

“I really care about having a very good relationship with my kids. I think I understand how to be a good parent to them. Both enforcing discipline and being their friend,” she added.
