Amapiano disc jockey DJ Maphorisa – real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe touched his fans’ hearts on social media when the non-profit organisation named Reach for a Dream Foundation revealed that the Abalele hitmaker had recently surprised one of his best fans in a special way as seen in an Instagram video posted on Wednesday, 18 October.

The popular Amapiano disc jockey had social media users giving him thumbs up after learning that he had made one of his young fan’s dream come true. According to the Reach for a Dream Foundation, DJ Maphorisa’s fan, Tebego, a teenage boy battling bone cancer was lost for words after seeing what the Nana Thula hitmaker did to surprise him.

“Tebogo, a brave 15-year-old from Limpopo battling bone cancer, had one dream – to get DJ equipment so that he could make music just like his hero, DJ Maphorisa. Little did he know, his dream was about to come true,” the organisation shared

DJ Maphorisa is said to have surprised Tebogo during lunch at a Sandton hotel. In a video posted on Instagram, the successful Amapiano disc jockey can be seen rubbing shoulders with his fan and posing for pictures with the teenager and his gifts.

“Tebogo was so surprised and stars truck that he couldn’t even speak! But that wasn’t all. The legendary Amapiano artist also gave Tebogo some advice on how to make it in the music industry and posed for a mini photoshoot with him… Thank you, DJ Maphorisa, for making Tebogo’s dream a reality!” the organisation said.
