JERMAINE SEOPOSENWE OPENS UP ABOUT PAY BATTLE

Banyana Banyana star Jermaine Seoposenwe reflected on the pay battle with SAFA (South African Football Association) on Marawa’s show.

EWN reports that Seoposenwe revealed on #MSW that there was a sense of relief, accomplishment and believes that she and the team have come out the other side stronger than ever before, pre- and post-the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“I think just a sense of relief and accomplishment. I think as a team, the way we left the country wasn’t great. A lot of people had a lot to say about the team’s mentality and us as human beings, and they didn’t understand the position that we had found ourselves in that moment.”

The 29-year-old midfielder adds that the lack of respect hurt her, she almost cried and spoke when Danny (Jordan) came over to speak with them. She told Jordaan that for her it wasn’t even about what people have said, what NEC members have said, none of that.

“It’s just the lack of respect that we continue to have to go through every time you come to the national team.”

Motsepe Foundation and Ithuba, and many others were the saving grace, who donated to the national team, reports Cape Talk.
