Cassper Nyovest hits back at claims he can’t rap

Rapper Cassper Nyovest’s rapping ability came into question following the release of his highly-anticipated album titled ‘Solomon’.

Musician and businessman Cassper Nyovest is not interested in any negative opinions about him.

Although the rapper – real name Refiloe Phoolo – has been in the music industry for more than 10 years, there are still some debate about his rap skills on social media.

CASSPER DOES NOT ENTERTAIN THE HATERS

Following his latest offering titled Solomon on Friday, 15 September, an X (formerly Twitter) user took to the social media platform to ask the Siyathanda hitmaker why are there still talks about his rapping ability.

“Why they say you can’t rap bro? I guess they would say you dope if it was minus the success, we love broken things I guess,” said the fan.

In rresponse, Cassper said he doesn’t pay attention to the haters and their views do not bother him.

“I don’t know man and to be honest, I don’t care . I think paying attention to haters is unfair to people who actually love you wanna maybe share their opinions with you that build you cause you wasting that time you could’ve gave them by paying attention to marete. I can rap , finish [sic].”

TRIBUTE TO AKA

Whilst Cassper’s fans have given positive reviews about his new album, his late rival AKA’s fans (commonly known as the Megacy) have not had good to say about his tribute to their favourite rapper.

The hip hop artist dedicated a song titled Candlelight to AKA, who was sadly murdered seven months ago in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

In the song, Cassper reminisces about his interactions with AKA. He also expresses his sorrow at the untimely death of the rapper who was also affectionately known as Supa Mega.

“This time is for the legacy. I don’t do it just to do it, this is therapy. And if this sh*t don’t exist then we develop it. And when I heard it I was just as hurt as the Megacy, uh.

“Man, our battle was the highlight. I was confused when you came and gave me high fives. A very important featurе in my life. And you still shining, yeah, we see you in thе starlights, yeah,” raps Cassper.

However, the Megacy accused him of “clout chasing” saying he is using AKA’s name to garner sales and streams.
