Britney Spears husband files for divorce after cheating allegations

American singer Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari reportedly filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” according to a report by TMZ.

SAM ASGHARI FILES FOR DIVORCE FROM BRITNEY SPEARS

Just over a year after Britney Spears married Sam Asghari in an intimate wedding in June 2022, the fitness trainer has reportedly filed for divorce from the singer. According to TMZ, Asghari cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending the marriage.

The fitness trainer is reportedly asking for spousal support and attorney fees. He reportedly listed the separation date as 28 July.

This comes after reports that the pair split following allegations regarding cheating.

SAM ASGHARI SIGNED A PRENUP

Page Six previously reported that the couple signed a prenup that was in favour of Britney. 

“Britney and Sam signed a prenup in her favour. Any money she made before the wedding is protected,” said a source to Page Six.

However, Asghari’s lawyer, Neal Hersh, hinted that he could contest their prenup.

“[He] has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party,” read court documents according to TMZ.
