Amor Vittone – the widow of the late Joost van der Westhuizen -is asking for prayers after her elderly father underwent open-heart surgery this week.
The Afrikaans singer shared the news on her Facebook page.

AMOR VITTONE SHARES NEWS ABOUT DAD
In the post, Amor Vittone revealed that her 82-year-old father was in ICU.
She shared on Tuesday, 11 July: “My dad had open-heart surgery yesterday and is in ICU. My mom has been by his side 24/7, and we are all praying for a full recovery”.

She added: “Mom, be strong and believe. God is in control.”

Earlier this year, Amor’s dad celebrated his 82nd birthday. She shared in a Facebook post: “You’re the strongest and most courageous man, father and grandfather. You always bring so much laughter to every person and are the most generous person I know.

‘WITHOUT THEM, I WOULD BE HERE’
Amor Vittone has been vocal about her parents’ role in her life.
In an Instagram post a year ago, the mom-of-two revealed that she relied on her parents for their financial support.
She posted: “My mom and dad are the people that I can run to say ‘help.’

“They are the people that funded Jordan so he can go overseas so that he can commit to soccer. He’s going to Ireland, that’s not cheap. I didn’t have the money, but my parents sold their home and moved into a smaller place so they could do it. Without them, I wouldn’t be here, and my kids wouldn’t be here”.
