Fans of rapper AKA are pointing fingers at the family of his late fiancée Nelli Tembe, who they’ve accused of being involved in his death.

The death of AKA – real name Kiernan Forbes – has had music fans speculating about an alleged murder plot. And the rumour mill is being driven by wild allegations that the family of Nelli Tembe – the rapper’s late fiancee – have something to do with it.
AKA was shot and killed outside a restaurant on Durban’s Florida road on Friday evening.
Nelli – originally from Durban – allegedly ended her life after falling off the balcony of a Cape Town hotel in April 2021.

AKA’S DEATH: WAS IT A HIT?
According to police, AKA was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting incident in Durban. The rapper and his friends were having a meal at restaurant Wish before his birthday performance at the local club Yugo.

According to IOL, AKA’s close friend Tebello Tibz Motsoane, who was with him then, was also shot and killed while his bodyguard was wounded.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiund told EWN: “What we know is that as they were leaving to their vehicle, two unknown gunmen came across the street on foot and opened fire on them, killing them instantly.”

Meanwhile, fans of AKA have been running wild with speculation of who is behind the shooting.
According to many music fans, the rapper was allegedly murdered as an act of “revenge”. This, following Nelli Tembe’s death almost two years ago.
