Leslie Mampe – known as Da LES – has been put on blast for attempting to profit off the death of his friend Kiernan Forbes or AKA. This, after the Amakipkip founder advertised an unauthorised T-shirt featuring the late rapper’s face
According to Forbes’s brother and girlfriend Nadia Nakai, the family of the slain star was unaware of the design.
In February, AKA was shot and killed by unknown attackers outside a Durban eatery. No arrests have been made.

The T-shirt rivals another recent one featuring AKA’s face from local label Cultish. Unlike Amakipkip, the merchandise was approved by Forbes’s family, with proceeds going directly to them.

Meanwhile, AKA’s brother Steffan Forbes and girlfriend Nadia Nakai have slammed both Da Les and Amakipkip over the sales.
Steffan reposted a pic of the T-shirt with the caption: “No shame.”
Meanwhile, Nadia slammed the brand on her Twitter account in a series of tweets.
She posted: “WTF!!! I thought Les just made one for himself”. She added: “Then to repost Steff’s post like it’s nothing.. Wow!”.
