To celebrate what has been the rebirth of the kwaito music genre, here is our new daily feature called Amapiano Song of the Day.

AMAPIANO SONG OF THE DAY – AWUKHUZEKI BY DJ STOKIE, OMIT ST, SOBZEEN AND ZEENHLE

After holding down the number three spot in Apple’s Music charts early last week, the track by Dj Stokie Omit ST, Sobzeen and Zeenhle has reclaimed the number one spot for the second time.

The song title is “Awukhuzeki,” (You’re out of control)and is found in Stokie’s The Journey Continues album, which is the third studio album from the Orlando West-born DJ and producer.

Did you know?

Stokie’s real name is Setoki Mbatha, and he was born in 1983, making him 40 years of age.

Meanwhile, the track’s streams on YouTube have increased from 5.9 million to 6.5 million since last week.

Two of the most popular comments came from @TChamp-of8bh, who said: “This is how masterpieces are created, 10 years from now it’ll still be banging!..if I’m alive, I’ll come back here to re-like my comment….😢…sure Stokie, nice one baba!”
