RWC: Everything to know about the Springboks alcoholic drink

The Springboks have launched their own special alcoholic beverage. The South African team will be going head-to-head against France on Sunday, 15 October in Paris. Here is everything you need to know about the Springbok liqueur…

THE NAME OF THE SPRINGBOKS DRINK

The Springboks alcoholic beverage is named the Bokshot Cream Liqueur. The drink comes in a 750m glass bottle with an alcohol volume of 15.5%.

A BRIEF LOOK AT WHAT THE BOK DRINK IS ABOUT

According to the Checkers website, the Boks shot cream liqueur is a premixed version of the already well-known Springbok shooter. It’s said to be a ready-to-drink blend of Marula cream liqueur mixed with peppermint liqueur and is also infused with tequila.

HOW MUCH IS THE BOK ALCOHOLIC DRINK?

The Bokshot Cream Liqueur retails for around R175 depending on which store individuals visit.

The Bokshot Creams Liqueur aka the Springbok drink is sold at several stores including Checkers, Macro, Shoprite, and more.

RWC: SPRINGBOKS CAPTAIN ANNOUNCES TEAM TO PLAY AGAINST FRANCE

Siya Kolisi, Steven Kitshoff, Bongi Mbonambi, Frans Malherbe, Eben, Etzebeth, Franco Mostert, Pieter-Steph Du Toit, Duane Vermeulen, Cobus Reinach, Manie Libbok, Cheslin Kolbe, Damian De Allende, Jesse Kriel, Kurt-Lee Arendse, and Damian Willemse were named to be the Springbok team who will play against France in the upcoming quarter-final game. The Springboks captain Jacques Nienaber explained why he chose the selected few.

“Most of these players have Rugby World Cup experience and several of them were involved in the 2019 final, so they know what it takes to perform in big moments,” SA Rugby quoted Nienaber as saying.
